Man City set to be cleared by CAS over signing of Benjamin Garre - sources
From ESPN - April 17, 2018

Manchester City are expected to be cleared of breaching rules over the signing of Argentine teenager Benjamin Garre, sources have told ESPN FC.

The Premier League champions faced a potential transfer ban if the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) found them guilty of flouting transfer rules over the signing of Garre from Velez Sarsfield in 2016.

City signed Garre at the age of 16 but Velez claimed the move breached FIFA's rules over the signing of minors from outside the European Union.

However, sources have told ESPN FC that City have been given an indication they have been cleared of any wrongdoing, with the decision expected to be announced this week.
