Clubs are slowly turning their eyes toward the summer window, and Transfer Talk has the updates on all the latest rumours.

Everton enter Wilshere race

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is in demand, with the Mail reporting that Everton are in the hunt as his contract stalemate with Arsenal continues.

It says the Toffees are ready to make "a lucrative move" for the England international if his situation in North London is not resolved.

The Merseysiders "will offer a big signing-on bonus and a deal in excess of the 80,000-per-week the Gunners are offering," the report adds.

Wilshere will be available on a free at the end of the season if new terms are not agreed, and the Mail says Everton "are trying to manoeuvre themselves to the front of the queue."

But they are not the only ones -- the Sun reports that Wilshere is also a target for Juventus.

Meanwhile, Everton continue to target Leicester striker Jamie Vardy -- but any move will depend on whether Steve Walsh remains as director of football, according to the Liverpool Echo.

It reports that Walsh, once of Leicester, could be replaced by PSV Eindhoven's Marcel Brands but is going ahead with his summer transfer plans.

Vardy joined Leicester when Walsh was head of recruitment at the King Power Stadium and remains "at the top of his wishlist."

Liverpool could swoop for Lepizig's Werner

Staying on Merseyside, the Independent says Liverpool are mulling a move for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.

Liverpool will bring in Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita at the end of the season and the Independent says "Jurgen Klopp has shown by far the strongest interest in his teammate Werner," linked with a number of clubs.
