British Squash Championships: Laura Massaro beaten by Wales' Tesni Evans

Four-time champion Laura Massaro was suprisingly beaten by Wales' Tesni Evans in the semi-finals of the British Squash Championship in Manchester.

England's defending champion and world number four Massaro, 34, lost in straight sets 3-11 8-11 9-11.

Evans, who is ranked 12th in the world, repeated her upset at December's World Championships with victory on Saturday.

She will face Alison Waters in Sunday's final, after the Englishwoman beat compatriot Sarah-Jane Perry 3-2.

Waters survived a scare to see off Perry 11-6 11-4 8-11 10-12 11-5.

Evans, who took advantage of some early uncharacteristic unforced errors from Massaro, said she relished going into the match as the underdog.
