Levin, Yussuf power Long Beach State past Cal Poly 73-54

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP)Gabe Levin and Temidayo Yussuf posted double-doubles and Long Beach State pulled away in the second half to defeat Cal Poly 73-54 on Saturday night.

Levin, fresh off a school record-tying 45 points in a double overtime loss to UC Davis, finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the 49ers (13-14, 7-4 Big West Conference). Yussuf added 17 points and 11 boards as both players accomplished the feat for a third time this season. It was the 999th victory all-time for Long Beach State, which snapped a two-game skid on its home floor and beat the Mustangs (8-17, 3-8) for a second time this season.
