Manchester United favourite Patrice Evra explains all on dodgy coat

Jan. 10 marked the day, 11 years ago, that Patrice Evra joined Manchester United from Monaco in a deal worth around 5.5 million.

The left-back became Sir Alex Ferguson's second defensive acquisition of the 2005-06 January window days after the arrival of Nemanja Vidic. The rest, as they say, is (incredibly successful) history.

Evra also managed to cause a bit of a stir by opting to wear an audacious leather jacket to his grand unveiling. And now over a decade later, the 36-year-old defender has explained his decision to go with the dodgy sheepskin-lined number.
