From ESPN - September 22, 2017

Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League giants Dynamos finally reached the summit of the league table this season after their outstanding win over Chapungu in Gweru on Thursday.

The game was abandoned on 18 June following the 56th minute collapse of a goal frame as Lloyd Mutasa's team led 4-0, with the Premier Soccer League secretariat subsequently taking forever to map the way forward.

There were to be no further goals as the two teams completed the remaining 34 minutes to officially hand Dynamos the three points they needed to seize the initiative in the title race.

Winger Emmanuel Mandiranga had netted a brace back in June, with Denvar Mukamba and Christian Ntouba weighing with a goal each.

The 21-time champions now lead the standings with 52 points, one more than both Chicken Inn and FC Platinum, who are separated by goal difference in second and third respectively.

Ngezi are a further point behind in fourth with nine match days to go, setting the stage for a thrilling dash to the finish line in what could be the league's most pulsating title contests in years.
