Neymar's debut sees him link up with Cavani and send PSG to victory
From ESPN - August 13, 2017

GUINGAMP, France -- Neymar scored one goal and set up another on his debut as Paris Saint-Germain won 3-0 away at Guingamp on Sunday, also thanks to Edinson Cavani's strike and Jordan Ikoko's own goal.

Positives

Neymar: The Brazilian superstar made his long-awaited maiden appearance in PSG colours and did not disappoint. He lit up Stade de Roudourou and teed up Cavani before getting in on the act himself.

Thiago Silva: The captain was authoritative at the back and helped his team avoid a potential upset.

Handled tricky match. Unai Emery's men easily could have underestimated their Breton hosts, but despite a goalless first half the French capital outfit were calm and methodical -- eventually opening Guingamp up three times.

Negatives

Angel Di Maria: Like against Amiens in the first game of the season, the Argentina international was far from at his best and appears ready to surrender his place in the starting XI to either compatriot Javier Pastore or Julian Draxler.

Thiago Motta: The Italian veteran offered little in midfield and it was like Les Parisiens were a man light at times -- two if you also consider Di Maria's ineptitude.

Layvin Kurzawa: The France international contributed more than the likes of Di Maria and Motta but not by much. Despite the convincing final score, these three could have done more to help their team overcome their hosts sooner.

Manager rating out of 10

7 -- Emery picked a starting XI that got the job done, but he could and perhaps should have changed things up before he chose to after 79 minutes. Di Maria, Motta and Kurzawa were lucky that Marco Verratti and Adrien Rabiot were withdrawn instead.

Player ratings (1-10; 10 = best. Players introduced after 70 minutes get no rating)

GK Alphonse Areola, 7 -- The Frenchman looked a little wobbly early on but was ultimately solid between the sticks.

DF Dani Alves, 6 -- The Brazil international continues to offer a lot to this PSG side, and although he was not as decisive as he was in his first two appearances, he was an energetic attacking threat.
